Open-Air Movie Theater in Istanbul

After hearing lots of compliments about Christopher Nolan's latest movie titled Inception, I decided to go see the movie. I somehow made it to Kurucesme Arena with my friends and cousins, which ended up with being one of the best movie experiences for me. Although Inception didn't meet my expectations, the idea of seeing a movie with the magnificent view of Bosphorus is undeniably amazing - and it gets even better if you could smoke, drink a beer while Nolan is forcing the limits of your brain. The movie night was sponsored by Turkcell which is the most popular telecommunication company in Turkey. The open-air audio system was surprisingly satisfactory, thanks to many concerts hosted there. The tickets were pretty cheap - 5 TL (€2) each if your service provider is Turkcell. At the end of the night, I wished I hadn't had to pay 5 TL for mineral water (which actually was the same price as the ticket). Hearing the explosions of fireworks from the weddings around was not the best experience while watching a movie, either. However, it was worth going for sure. Lesson learned - bring your glasses (since it's pretty packed and you need to read the subtitles from far behind) and get a beer instead of a mineral water next time. Still not sure what to do about the fireworks of the weddings, though.
